Our essential oil quality starts with Earth. Lively, rich soil with micronutrients encourages essential oil production in plants. Most of our aromatic plant farmers have small family farms located where the plants are indigenous. They Sprout the seeds or cuttings from the correct single-species for each essential oil – it’s all in the DNA. These multi-generation small farms follow trusted local farming practices and new agricultural techniques to Nurture these plants. Your purchases supply hundreds of opportunities to establish self-sufficiency in farming families of developing countries.

Our collaborating farmers Gather the harvested plant at the peak of essential oil plant readiness and quality. They determine the gather-time by generations of experience and scientific testing. The crop is steam-distilled at the local level to Release the essential oil. Citrus essential oils are released through modern “cold-pressing” processes. Once the essential oil is isolated it is kept in storage containers which Protect each molecule.  In this way we maintain the purity and composition of your essential oils.

After ensuring the Earth Natural™ quality from Earth-to-Protect, we Verify the essential oils quality with scientific instruments. These tests provide excellent feedback to the farming process. We have third-party analytical tests run on color, aroma, refractive index, optical rotation, specific gravity, and GC-MS to verify the correct single-species identity of each Lotus Spring essential oil.  We share with you some of the scientific data for each essential oil on our website: look for the “GC-MS” tab on the product page of our individual essential oils.
